Lightning Detection
Lightning poses a significant risk to nature, causing wildfires, tree damage, and disruptions to ecosystems. The Grove AS3935 Lightning sensor detects cloud-to-ground and intra-cloud lightning within a 30-40 km range. It’s programmable by I2C or SPI communication, supports 3.3V and 5.0V power supply, evaluates electric fields, and sends data to the development board for creating lightning alert systems and meteorological stations. Earthquake Detection
Earthquakes can cause significant harm to nature, including landslides, habitat destruction, and disruptions to ecosystems. Grove – D7S Vibration Sensor is a robust module equipped with a high-precision accelerometer and advanced algorithms. Sandstorms Detection
Sandstorms can cause severe ecological damage, including soil erosion, destruction of vegetation, and disruption of fragile desert ecosystems. Grove – Laser PM2.5 Dust Sensor can provide real-time measurements of the concentration of PM2.5 particles, including those present during sandstorms. Wildfires Detection
Wildfires can cause substantial environmental consequences such as vegetation destruction, wildlife habitat loss, soil erosion, and air pollution. To detect fire sources or other light sources within the wavelength range of 760nm – 1100nm, the Grove-Flame Sensor, utilizing the YG1006 sensor, a high-speed and high-sensitive NPN silicon phototransistor, is employed. This sensor is particularly responsive to infrared radiation due to its black epoxy construction, and by incorporating an additional buzzer and LED, a fire alarm system can be conveniently constructed.
