Grove – Servo

Note

This servo requires an operating voltage between 4.8V and 6.0V (5V typical). Voltages below the minimum 4.8V (e.g., 3.3V) are insufficient and will prevent correct operation. Always use a power supply providing voltage within this specified range.

Grove-Servo is a rotary actuator that allows for precise control of the angular position. It’s suitable for use in closed-loop systems where precise position control is needed. We regulated the three-wire servo into a Grove standard connecter. You can plug and play it as a typical Grove module now, without jumper wires clutter.

In this year’s school season, Cornell University introduced a course called Human-Centered Design Methods. This course explores the use of design methods to generate ideas and evaluate designed objects, environments, and interfaces. 

Students are expected to create an interactive object as the learning outcome. For example, an object that may light up, change color, make sounds, and/or move or change shape – when someone does something (near or far from it) or something happens (near or far from it).
