Description

This kit provides the components needed to implement a car counting system using induction loops. Including Seeedunio development board (instead of Arduino UNO in the original video), Grove Base Shield, Inductive Sensor, Grove Cables, etc. This system can count cars and accurately determine the queue length at traffic signals.

This kit provides the components needed to implement a car counting system using induction loops, including the Seeedunio development board (replaces the Arduino UNO in the original video), Grove Base Shield, Inductive Sensor, Grove Cables, etc. This system can count cars and accurately determine the queue length at traffic signals. This project uses the same concepts and sensors as real traffic signals-inductive sensors that require the presence of metal to detect.

Philip provided us with a tutorial on using induction loops to count cars. The project uses an Seeeduino with a Grove Shield and a Grove Inductive Sensor with two channels to senses two position-one at the traffic signals and one downstream so the length of the queue can be determined.

Before officially starting this project, you should prepare the listed Seeedunio development board (instead of Arduino UNO in the original video), Grove Base Shield, Inductive Sensor, Grove Cables and other components. After preparing these things, we can start to build our vehicle counting system using inductive loops!

The main process includes setting up the hardware system, burning the code, and debugging. For specific operations, please refer to Counting Cars with Induction Loops.
